What a nice way to wish someone a Happy Birthday with a card that you have made for them. This is an easy card to make to learn the Iris Folding Technique.
Card kit includes everything needed to make one 5″x 6.5″ card.
Cutouts only includes 3 cutouts and one pattern guide for those that already understand Iris Folding.
The card kit comes with the cut out, instructions, mat, paper strips, card and envelope.
The cut outs are only the cut out and instructions. There is no card, mat or embellishment.
The supplies you will need to make this card are: scissors, scotch tape and glue/tape runner.
We would also recommend using packing tape to place on the back of the cut-out after you finish all of the folding and then use pop dots to attach the cut-out to mat.
Iris folding is a paper craft technique that involves folding strips of colored paper in such a way to form a design. The center of the design forms an iris — a shape reminiscent of the iris diaphragm of a camera lens.
Iris folding originated in Holland, where early crafters made their designs using patterned paper cut from the inside of envelopes. Today, crafters use any light weight paper, such as origami paper, wrapping paper, the inside of envelopes or pages of magazines and even ribbon.
