The weekend begins with a unique welcoming party on Friday night. This fun event includes amazing desserts, gourmet snacks, cocktails, and a special preview of the Marketplace.
A selection of presenting artists will give ongoing, concurrent demonstrations of various art and design techniques. Each demo is different, just like the wonderful panel of artists we’ve selected for their skills and unique style.
Presenting artists will be located adjacent to the Marketplace, with small group seating. This informal workshop-style structure allows for easy mingling, discussion, and the chance to learn from both presenters and attendees.
Enjoy a cocktail, shop an eclectic array of artsy vendors, try your luck at a game of chance, learn some new techniques—it’s an evening designed just for you.
The Friday Kick-off Party is included in the Weekend Pass.
Mad Hatter Tea – Sunday 1-2pm
Do you have a crazy hat? Bring it to this wonderful event to end the weekend! Enjoy an afternoon tea with light snacks, desserts, and tea while you visit with other attendees.
During the Mad Hatter Tea, prizes are awarded for trades and the best hat! The Dream Raffle drawing is also held during the Mad Hatter Tea.
This event is a huge hit with attendees!
The Mad Hatter Tea is included in the Weekend Pass.
Dream Raffle – All Weekend
Take a chance! An incredible collection of artist tools and supplies that every artist wishes for, now made possible with just a $1 ticket. You’ll be dreaming you’re a winner.
Anyone can buy a ticket, anyone can win!
The Dream Raffle drawing takes place during the Mad Hatter Tea on Sunday afternoon. Fill out a proxy slip, and you don’t need to be present to win.
A Weekend Pass is not required or mandatory to take classes at Artiscape. It is however, suggested that you include this in your itinerary to enjoy the weekend fully. First year attendees often think of it as an “extra” expense, but really it is central to the weekend and your experience. Think of it as one of your workshops. If hesitant, think about asking for it as a gift for Christmas, Valentine’s, Mother’s Day, or birthday (gift certificates are available) so much better than roses!
As the name suggests, a trade is given to another attendee who then gives you one of their little creations. Trades may be little pins, ATCs, bookmarks, embellishments, a small book… You may trade at the scheduled trading sessions (TS), at events, in the hall, etc.
You can choose to visit Artiscape for the weekend or just the day take several workshops or just one.

Registration is on a first-received basis.
This year we’re asking you to pick up your registration materials, including your badge, on site at Artiscape Registration, adjacent to the Artiscape Store.
Events and workshops do sell out. While not required, we strongly suggest you purchase tickets well in advance. You can purchase tickets on-site for workshops that are not sold out.
You do not have to purchase tickets to visit the Marketplace or Outsider Art Fair, which are open to the public.
To make the weekend as fun and stress-free as possible instructors were encouraged to provide most materials. No supply lists will be sent, as this information is included in the individual workshop listings on this site.
Cancellations, Refunds & Exchanges
Cancellations or changes will incur a $25 change fee. No refunds after March 22, 2017 (no exceptions, please don’t ask). You may transfer your tickets at no cost, but please let us know so we can update class lists for instructors (as tickets are inventoried).
Weekend Passes are issued to individuals and cannot be shared among friends & spouses.
