Project Description

Viva Las Vegastamps! Blog HopHappy New Year!! To kick off the year with a bang, Viva Las Vegastamps! is hosting a blog hop! If you’ve come here from Aimee Fleck’s Blog, then you’re in the right place. To start the hop from the beginning, please go to the Viva Las Vegastamps! blog.

If you like blog candy, this hop is for you!  Each blog on the hop will pick one winner who will get a $15 gift certificate to the Viva Las Vegastamps! Online Store.  One grand prize winner will win a $25 gift certificate to the Viva Las Vegastamps! Online Store. To enter, just leave a comment on each blog.

I’ll be picking the winner from my blog on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at noon EST, so get your comment in before then.

For my first post of 2012, I made this cute New Year’s card with animals participating in the celebration. The dog is blowing it’s horn and thinking dog thoughts while the cat is tolerating the dog and wishing it would go away.

I used these five Viva Las Vegastamps! in my project:
Clown Cat
Pug In Party Hat
Party Horn
Another Year Down The Drain
Sometimes I Like To Drink

First I stamped all stamps on white cardstock, and then colored with Copic markers. I cut them out and adhered them to matching background paper and card as shown in picture. For the “Another Year” sentiment, I chose to cut out each word individually and ink the edges. For the “Sometimes I Like To Drink” sentiment, I cut out the main speech bubble, and also stamped the stamp directly on background paper. I glued the cut out speech bubble in place and used a white pen to color in the smaller bubbles on the pink paper. I hope you like it, I had fun making it!

Viva Las VegaStamps! The next stop on your blog hop is Lea Cioci’s Blog. Enjoy the hop, good luck and Happy New Year!

Happy Crafting!

Joe

Love it! It made me smile as soon as I saw it. I could so see our cat and dogs in this same situation. She tolerates them and they torment her. I will definitely be watching your creations.
