Project Description
I was thrilled when I was asked to create projects using the new Hello Kitty line of scrapbooking papers and supplies that debuted exclusively at Michael’s on October 28. While I was fortunate to get a sneak peek of these great products, it was a rush to see them at my local Michael’s.
For this project I created a mini album perfect for any Hello Kitty fan.
I added slickers from the collection on several of the pages, and used portions of border strips to create the two page tabs. On page 4, I fussy cut around Hello Kitty’s face and put adhesive only on the bottom and left edges of the cutout to form a pocket to hold a photo or note.
I used border strips in a similar way on page 6 to form a pocket for the list. Before page 5, I added a strip of patterned paper with a paper clip for attaching momentos. Between pages 4 and 5, I inserted a punch-out envelope from the Hello Kitty Paper Crafting Pad. The envelope is already perforated and scored, so it was easy to make.
After I completed the embellishments, I used the Zutter Bind-It-All to wire bind the mini album. I think the Bind-It-All gives the project a clean, professional finish. Plus, the added benefit is that it is easy to use.
The quality of these papers and embellishments is superb!! You’ll love working with them. And there is a wide variety of embellishments including cut outs, perforated shapes, stickers, and border strips. Remember, these papers are a Michael’s exclusive!!
Very cute! I didn't even know you were working on this project – and it's so darn cute!
