Project Description
Welcome to the Creative Paperclay® Halloween Link Up Party!!
We have lots of exciting things to look forward to at our house. October is Chloe’s birthday month, and, of course, Halloween!! Together Chloe and I created this Halloween bat mobile using Creative Paperclay®.
I cut bat shapes out of cardstock for our patterns. We rolled out a ball of clay to about 1/4″ thickness, laid the patterns on top of the flattened clay, and used a stylus to trace around them. Chloe did the tracing, and I finished cutting out the bats using a craft knife. Before we set them aside to dry, I smoothed the edged as much as possible to eliminate some of the sanding, and pierced a small hole in each one for hanging.
To give some of the bats dimension, I laid them over a Sharpie marker while they were drying.
After some final sanding with jewelry files and an emery board, they were ready for Chloe to paint them.
Last step was hanging the small bats onto the large bat, and hanging the finished mobile.
