Project Description
I’m thrilled to be auditioning for the Arnold Grummer’s design team! Arnold Grummer’s has all the supplies you need to make your very own handmade paper. It’s fun and easy to make your own papers, and takes paper crafting to the next level.
For this little booklet is for a special friend who—you guessed it—is a diva. I used a variegated blue and white paper for the pages. It almost looks like clouds. You can see how I assembled the pages from this YouTube video:
For the accent binding strip at the top of the booklet I selected a handmade mulberry paper. To get the beautiful deckled edge on the handmade paper, I painted a line with a small round paint brush and water. Yes, water. Then, while the paper was laying flat on my countertop, I gently pulled the pieces apart. Result: a lovely feathered edge. Because of the construction of handmade papers, it is easy to “cut” them with a water line.
The final step was embellishing the booklet with blue rhinestones.
